From time to time, users may need to duplicate a deal in Shaker. The two most common reasons for this are:
When Deals Fall Through
When you're representing both buyer and seller (Dual Agency)
There are a few simple steps to duplicate a deal:
Open the deal you want to copy and click the "Actions" menu
Click "Copy"
Select from the checklist the items you want to transfer.
By default, all data stored on the deal details tab will be transferred. You'll also have the option of transferring Tasks, Documents, Assigned Team, and Notes.
In the scenario of Dual Agency, Once you've copied a deal, you may want to follow up by changing the deal type. For instance, if you copied the listing, but want to use the copy for the buy side you will want to "Change the Deal Type.
