Adding field subsitutions when drafting an email

Field substitutions, also known as merge fields or variable data, can be used in message templates to personalize your emails with data from a specific deal or contact record.

These fields can be saved on a message template or quickly referenced when drafting 1-off emails from a contact or deal page.

  1. When drafting an email, simply begin to type in the brackets ##{{ and field substitution options will begin to appear. Shaker uses braces or curly brackets ##{{ to identify these fields.

  2. Click on your field of choice from the options presented and your data will be added. It will show up in purple, however, the end recipient will not see the highlighted purple text.
