Integrating Shaker with Dotloop

Updated on

To connect your Dotloop account

Connecting your Dotloop account to Shaker just takes seconds.

  1. Go to settings in Shaker

  2. Under Settings, select Integrations

  3. Click "add" on the Dotloop integration

  4. Enter your username and password for Dotloop when prompted

  5. Choose to "allow" Shaker to access your information in Dotloop

  6. You're all set!

How it works

  • Users can create a loop from Shaker which opens a file under the property address and syncs any relevant data from the Shaker record to Dotloop. (This is a continuous sync. Any changes made in Shaker throughout the lifecycle of the transaction will update the information found in Dotloop as long as the two are synced.)

  • Users can link an existing loop to Shaker and sync relevant data from Dotloop. (This will only sync information from Dotloop to Shaker when you first link the transaction.)

  • Users can unlink an existing loop

  • Once a loop is linked, users can upload a file to the shaker documents folder and will be presented with the option to also send that file to Dotloop.

Limitations

  • The Dotloop integration will only work with Agent Profile types. It is not compatible with Admin profiles in Dotloop.

  • Files do not sync to Shaker from Dotloop

  • Users can only link one Dotloop account per Shaker account

Creating or Syncing Loops

Once you've integrated your Dotloop account with your Shaker account, you can create new loops from Shaker or sync existing loops.

  1. First, navigate to the deal you want to connect
  2. Click the actions button in the upper left panel
  3. Select: Create a loop
  4. Follow the instructions to create the loop or select connect existing loop at the bottom and choose the address from your list of files in Dotloop.

Troubleshooting

In some cases, you may lose connection with your dotloop account and Shaker. If you are running into issues, try disconnecting the integration and reconnecting it using the initial connection process.

To Disconnect

  1. Click the Manage button
  2. Click the delete (trash can) icon in the upper right corner of the page
