Introduction
As a Shaker user, you have the ability to choose a phone number to utilize for sending and tracking text messages in your account. This number can be used for 1-off messages as well as triggered messages and reminders.
Provisioning a Number for Messaging
Under Settings select Phone & SMS
Choose your local area code and click "Find Phone Numbers".
You will be presented with a list of phone numbers to choose from. Select the one you want to use and confirm the selection.
This number will now be used for all SMS messages you send to contacts through the system. You will be able to revisit the number whenever you would like by going back to the Phone & SMS settings option.
Messaging Capabilities
- Your Shaker-provisioned phone number can send and receive text messages.
- Provisioned phone numbers cannot receive or route calls to your phone at this time.
- Inbound messages can be read and replied to in your messages inbox within Shaker under the SMS tab.
- For instant notifications to your provisioned phone number, we recommend downloading the Shaker Agent mobile App or copying your mobile number on outgoing messages to create a group thread.
